Getting Growed Up

Man I guess I'm growing up.

The day has come.

Tonight I am covering the local high school football game for the daily newspaper. Holla! I am officially a stinger/freelance reporter for the Union. Not too shabby considering it has about a 7,000 circulation. I'm excited yet nervous. I have a game plan all worked out. 2 notebooks, one where I can write down play by play and the other will be for more detailed notes/questions to ask the coach after the game. I got my fancy recorder all set to go, numerous pencils/pens and I get to sit in the press box. That's pimp in itself. No flashy press pass though I have to tell everyone where I'm from and they know I'm coming. I can just see the old dudes at the gates wanting some money outta me and I'm gonna be like hell no, I'm with the press! It should be a good time. I'll come back here, type type type up my story then I gotta go home bright and early tomorrow as opposed to tonight cuz I gotta go to my cousin's wedding.

Fun times fo shizzle.

Alrighty rooney. I'm out.

Gotta have Style

I am dissappointed.

I had to buy a new AP Stylebook, not because the style has changed much but cuz I'm stupid and left mine at home, and it is so crappy. It's spiral bound and it's like some machine didn't quite punch the holes all the way through or something because the pages stick together at the spiral and my desk is covered in little paper peices. It's slightly annoying. But I guess I shouldn't be dumb and leave my stylebooks at home. Same thing happened last year. Wouldn't have had to buy the '07 one but I left the '06 at home. It's alright I guess. Now I have a collection. And they're cheap compared to other books.

Dang it. I think I might be getting a cold. But I'm not sure. I had one in July for pissakes! Oh wait a second...(I'm thinking, this could take a while) Alright. I figured out what I had to figure out. We're good.

I hope it's not a cold. Just the weather or something.

Um right. So I don't have much to blog about. I'll share a few photogs from the Brewers games.

The best kind of diamonds.

CC Sabathia! Woo!

Craig Counsell! Woo!

The Jumbotron we made it on Friday night.

Ok I can't take any more of this posting pictures. I don't get why it ends up with a gazillion spaces everywhere so that'll have to do for now.

Hasta la pasta!

Double Play

Hell yes people. Hell yes.

Two Brewer games under my belt for the weekend. Two awesome days. One win. One lost. Countless beers drank.

and is this bold? what the hell blogger? Why you looking all weird? is it the new internet I installed?

Anyways. Friday: Brewers win it in extra innings. JJ Hardy singles home my man Craig Counsell in the bottom of the 11th. Stellar! CC was lights out! Well not completely lights out. He did allow one run. Eric Gange blew the lead the jackass. But enough about the game, more about the fun! What can be said? Briana and me are now charcoal grilling machines. We make friends with everyone in the seats surrounding us, we make it fun. We had this awesome woman in front of us, I think her name was Sue, she was badass. Badass! She was probably 55-ish and she was into it all! She had huge baseball earrings, was woo!-ing, high fiving up a storm and she even wore a Rock Is My Hero mustache. That's how freakin' badass she was. And when the Brewers were tied I told her to flip it around so it'd be a rally 'stache and she did. Awesome lady.

Saturday: Brewers got their asses handed to them in a neat package but it was still awesome. Chris Young of the Padres almost threw a no hitter so after it was quite clear Milwaukee wasn't going to win we started to hope for the no hitter. Didn't happen. Gabe Kapler spoiled it in the bottom of the 8th with a homer. But the fun never ended. Tailgating we impressed the ladies next to us because we got our grill fired up quick. They were impressed we didn't need a man to do that. Briana's friend Becky came to the game too which added to the madness. Guess who came walking by? Trinni. Yeah. That Trinni. The one I hate from FSN. But man oh man did we talk her up. Briana, after she realized it was Trinni which happened after she walked away from talking to us, ran over and got a picture with her. Then Trinni was doing some clip thing so she ran over and made it on TV during the Brewer's Live pregame show. But we didn't tape the game so she had to call her mom to tell her to tape it. Since as it turns out Brewers Live isn't all that live. Ol' Trinni was doing her segment at about 1130 and the show didn't start until 1230. After that we packed up shop and headed over to the buses cuz the B's knew some people. Got a free beer. While walking towards the park we started to talk to some random guys, got a free beer. Two free beers, love it! Briana again befriended an older woman by getting in a picture with her which she was cool with because we are still able to manage manners while drinking. Again we sat around some fun people so that made it better to bear the massacre that was the game.

All in all, fabulous weekend.

Except I'm paying for it now. Ay yi yi. It didn't dawn on my until I was sitting in the hot sun halfway through the game that sunscreen would have been a good idea. Now I have a tomato face and burned arms complete with white bands on both wrists where my watch and bracelet was. It looks like I got handcuffed and left out in a holding cell in the sun. At least I don't have a sunglasses mark on my face from my beer glasses. I've got pictures up the wazoo. Perhaps I'll post a select few later. Right now this post is too long and well, I don't feel like it.

After a while crocodile!

What's before Part B?

PART-AYYYYYYE!

Party time punks! Time to party! Why? I'll tell you why, it's my brewers fun filled weekend! Tonight I'm off to see the game and we're making our bid to get on TV again. The signs have been made, the mustaches ready, the tape set to roll. CC Sabathia is pitching tonight (YES!) So my sign says "Give Me Three CC's STAT!" with pictures of CC Sabathia, Craig Counsell and Craig Coshun (an FSN brewers reporter...hehe) Briana's sign is a FSN one with a picture of the color analyst Bill Schroder on it from 80s. It's good.

Saturday is an off day for us, a day to recover from all the gloriousness that will be tonight. Sunday we'll be back at the diamond again but this time for free! Woot! Free tickets and free parking. Hellz yeah. It's gonna be good that is fo shizzle.

yaouch. I've been playing too much Guitar Hero. I've never played it until like two weeks ago. My wrist hurts from it. I rock. If I was a dude, I'd rock out with my cock out. Then hang out with my wang out.

Alright I don't rock I suck. I can only manage on easy. How people do it at expert level is beyond me.

Ok that's really all I have. Hopefully we can go 2-2 tonight in our quests to make it on TV. We got it all. FSN shout out and the starting pitcher. Plus we show some love to the on air personalities. But we will never show any love for Trinni. Because I cannot stand her. Shut up Trinni! What the hell kind of name is that anyway? Trinni.

I'm out.

Slow Seizure

If you can have a seizure from slow flashing lights I would have had a grand mall one yesterday.

My internet kept being unable to connect so every 10 seconds one of those balloon things would pop up down there by the time saying "hey sweetcheeks you got limited or no connectivity!" (How sweet would it be if you could personalize your error messages?! I already changed all the sounds on my computer so I don't have to listen to 3 seconds of orchestra. Instead of the pretty window start up music, I have a sound clip from Old School! Um..Anyway) And then the internet would try to reconnect so the bubble would go away, then it wouldn't be able to and it'd come back. It was driving my nutso! I had to use my computer to write some articles for class so I couldn't just walk away. But after the fact I realized I could have just unplugged my wireless thinger and save some headaches and seizure potential. I'm a sharp one Mr Grinch!

Crime in Italy! I tell ya, some days... (...crime in italy is how I type/say criminitaly, you know what old people say instead of son of a bitch? I don't have a clue how to do it right so I do it phonically. It's probably really easy and I'm just being dumb, meh.)

Right-o. So day three of the semester. So far so good. I got me some work I need to do though before my first class at 215. It's brutal, let me tell ya! I have some things up in the air right now in terms of internships/working possibilities that I just don't know if I'll make it back to ol' pick n slave! I'd like to because it's guaranteed 8.15 an hour. That's right. Be jealous of the big bucks, five years of service gets you that. But at this point I need to be looking to life after grocery. Which is just so hard to fathom. I wrote down for the first time that I was a senior last night for something and it was eerie. How the hell am I a senior in college?! HOW?! It didn't really dawn on me until half way through July that that was my last summer off. I almost peed myself a little out of terror/sadness. Yikes mikes.

Well, I need to put my fingers on a keyboard to better use then blogging, like actual homework so catch ya on the flip side homes!

If...

...I had balls I would be sweating them off right now. Whew! It is hot! I went to get my books earlier and big mistake! I should not have worn the clothes I plan on wearing to class cuz now they've gotta dry off. Shit son.

Anyway, so school has started. Obviously. Boo. The only good thing is most classes really do not last long the first time. Oh! That...that could sound...ah, nevermind.

My class schedule is pretty pimp. Yeah, I still say pimp like it's in style. Only one class Mon, Wed and Friday. Two night classes though and an independent study. So I should be spending my time in the library being all researchy. But not yet. Eventually I will designate library time or I'll never do it.

Shit on a brick 92 degrees! Figures. We didn't have too many scorchers like this over the summer but the second that school bell rings, wham bambo! You could fry an egg on my back. And I don't have air conditioning. Boo. Though we do have fans which seem to be working good.

I'm excited! Brewers game on Friday and the possibility of another on Sunday! CC Sabathia should be pitching Friday which will be awesome. He kicks ass like no one else kicks ass. He is the Chuck Norris of left handed pitchers. That's how bad ass he is.

My weekends are filling up. Brewers, Carly's wedding, Tyler's wedding. Wedding seem to go in bunches. At least for me. Go five years with out any then bam! Two! Go another few years and bam! Some more! Woo! I should look at what the T's are registered for. Get 'em a nice gift of a tea kettle and iron.

Oh hey, a high of 73 tomorrow. That's a nice 20 degree drop. Damnit Wisconsin! Why? Why can't you just do gradual shifts in weather? Why is it one day it can be 40 degrees the next we have a foot and a half of snow? Damnit! Oh who am I kidding, I like that a little bit. At least we have seasons.

Ok well I should go do...well I don't have anything to do really but I'm done here. Chow!
