I killed a wasp today using nothing but febreze, shower cleaner, a chopstick and this cunning wit.
Weelllll...my roommate helped.
...and I probably could have just used a flyswatter.
Let me set the scene. We have double windows, you know the deal where you have to slide open one then slide open another to get to the screen. So Briana has a hole in her screen and a wasp got in. She shut the window and was going to leave it like that until he either found his way out or died. He'd been trapped for a day or so and today I decided I'd get rid of him. I was feeling feisty. Normally I don't get near anything that stings when I don't have full body armor on. I first went after him with some light chemical warfare, febreze. Slide the window open and squirt, squirt! Didn't really do much. Squirted him some more. Kind of paralyzed him. Good. Then Briana whipped out the shower cleaner, the nuclear weapon in our arson. She doused him and he certainly didn't care much for that. I got a chopstick and figured in his drugged state it would be safe to poke him. I knocked him down and Briana sprayed him again. Oh, then the sad part started. No longer was the blast going to kill him, no. It was the fallout from the radiation that was taking him down. I felt bad after watching him struggle for a while so I put him out of his agony. I stabbed him with the chopstick ala Last Samurai.
When I said afterwards to Briana how accomplishing my day was with killing a wasp with febreze and a chopstick, it made me think of Frank from MASH. I don't know what episode it was but he was talking to Hawkeye and he said something like "well big deal! I once killed a gopher with a stick!" Yeah.
GAHHHHHHH. I hate this time of year. I have got way too much shit to get done. But the good thing is I've got an alright jump on things. But the added stress of graduating does not help any. Life used to be so much better when I could sleep.
Oh. And I'm totally on twitter now. It is more so I can look at what other people are doing, i.e. FS Wisconsin, then for me to actually tweet. But I don't know. Perhaps when it really takes off or if anyone ever reads it I'll do it more. I don't really like the word twitter because it makes me think of Bambi and twitterpatting.
Right. Back to reading. Boo.
