House Hurters

The people on House Hunters drive me crazy.

Not Suzanne Whong, but serisously her job is so hard! Not.

The buyers. They just...just...drive me nuts at times. Yes buying a house is a big deal, yes you want to make the right choice. I don't mind if they get picky over things like yard size, ceiling heights or commute time. What drives me nuts is the stupid things they bitch about.

Like what? Like paint color. IT'S PAINT! You know how easy it is to repaint if the house is the one of your dreams then find another house of your dreams? Seriously! I hate it when they walk in and are like "Ohh but I don't know about the paint color..." Just paint over it! Honestly! It isn't the most expensive thing in the world. I'd rather paint a few rooms then get a fixer upper. It just...uh! Paint! Yeah so it doesn't make it move in ready exactly but if your going from a one bedroom 400 square foot apartment to a three bedroom house do you have enough shit to fill all the rooms? just shove some stuff in the other rooms, paint, move the shit and viola. Painting is not exatcly the most time consuming of projects.

It just drives me nuts. Maybe it's cuz I haven't bought a house or cuz I'm laid back about stuff like that.

Another thing I don't get is people who want a seating area in the master bedroom. Really? Why? I can see haveing space for like a comfy chair or something but a private sitting area? So you can go sit there naked and read a book? Get away from the kids? Um thats why they have rooms, you send them there. That's what my parents did and they got by sans seating section. Perhaps it is the naivety I have from the lack of ownership of both house and kids but really. I'm all for a spacious bedroom with some extra space but I find the need for a sitting area in my bedroom a little much. So you might say um don't you have a desk in your room right now? And I will counter with why yes I do. But you see, it is my room, my only true space in the house. It is my parents house. They get to keep all their crap throught the whole thing and have supreme say while I must confine my belongings to a 11x10 room which has been shrunk thanks to the edition of another bed. So I say to those who want a sitting area in their bedroom 1) you got a whole damn house and 2) is your bed not good enough to sit on? you do other things there.

...whew. Had to get that off my chest.

Ok I have packing to do. Yay.
